The customer changed channels. The problem stayed the same.

Someone may begin with a chat message and return by phone. From their perspective, it is still one unresolved problem.

What the product offers

Sierra describes customer-facing AI agents across channels including chat, email, and voice. Official source ↗

The decision that matters

Channel availability does not by itself prove continuity. Evaluate how identity is established, which context can be retrieved, and what happens when the agent cannot confidently connect two interactions. The right response to uncertainty may be a clarifying question rather than an assumption about the customer.

A TEST WORTH RUNNING

Try one bounded task.

Use a fictional delayed-order scenario in a controlled vendor demonstration. Start on one channel and continue on another. Ask which details are available, how identity is verified, and what the receiving agent sees. Include an account mismatch as a separate case.

What to capture

Record repeated information, incorrect account associations, context gaps, and whether the next step stays consistent. Distinguish demonstrated behavior from a promised integration.

Where this analysis stops

Cross-channel continuity was not tested. Actual behavior depends on identity, data, and workflow configuration; the scenario is a proposed assessment.
