Meta Connect 2026: announcements, availability and practical decisions
Start with the task: an AI agent, everyday audio, a wearable camera, a private workspace, or a game prototype.

Start with the decision, not the product name. Connect spans everyday glasses, immersive computing, personal agents and game creation. These categories solve different problems, and their release schedules differ.

For a professional buyer, a useful first filter is the task you repeat. Calls during a walk, recording a demonstration, and arranging private virtual screens are separate needs. Avoid buying the most elaborate device before deciding which of those needs actually matters.
If you already own camera glasses, start with the generation comparison. If your interest is a traveling workspace, read the VR guide before assuming that lighter hardware replaces a laptop. If you mainly listen and take calls, the Audio guide asks whether the camera would earn its place at all.
Muse: evaluate the permission boundary
Meta’s Connect recap describes forthcoming Muse access through glasses, an agent email address and new connectors, including Notion, Granola, GitHub and Box. Glasses integration is promised in the coming months. These announcements should not be read as a guarantee that every integration is active in every account.

Horizon: prototype a game, then earn an audience
Horizon Create and Horizon Studio introduce phone and browser creation workflows. Access is rolling out through a waitlist. Publishing makes a game eligible for distribution; it does not promise players or revenue.

Developer AI: choose the surface before the model
Meta says Muse Code is out of beta, Muse Spark 1.3 supports coding and agent workflows, and Meta Model API is generally available globally. Its expanded model family includes image generation, voice transcription and the open-weight, 30B-parameter Muse Glimmer.

These are different adoption paths. A coding assistant belongs in a reviewable development workflow. A model API belongs in a product whose latency, usage bill and failure behavior you can measure. Display updates are not one simultaneous release
Meta schedules cycling and transit directions for later September in the US and Canada. Hologram calling starts in US WhatsApp Early Access later in the fall. Explore and mirrored notifications are upcoming. Calendar controls are described as available in English in the US. Meta also announced Dolby Atmos capture and wider regional sales.

Keep future experiments on a watchlist
Muse Charm was previewed as a pocket companion, with more information promised later this year. Meta also announced hearing enhancement for supported glasses later in 2026. Compatibility and the intended use matter; the announcement alone is not a basis for a personal hearing-care decision.
