A WORKFLOW YOU CAN FINISH

Keep the context.
Make the next decision.

Start with one audience, one problem, and one offer. Carry those decisions into your research, positioning, two-week launch experiment, content, outreach, and review. Every stage includes instructions, a working document, and a checklist.

01 / SHAPE THE BRIEF

Your business sets the direction.

Enter your audience, current workaround, offer, evidence, and constraints. Start from a fictional SaaS or service example, or a real Useful in Practice brief.

02 / WORK THE PLAN

Templates become working documents.

Edit the research guide, positioning, launch strategy, five content formats, and outreach drafts. Record sources, decisions, and what remains a hypothesis.

03 / BRING YOUR OWN CHAT

AI helps when you choose.

Each stage builds a prompt with your brief, saved decisions, and current draft. Copy it into an AI chat, review the response, and paste the useful parts back here.

Built-in drafts are assembled from templates and rules. This workspace does not run an AI model, browse for leads, or send outreach. External AI chats have their own terms and usage limits.

THE WORKFLOW, IN PRACTICE

See the difference between a feature and a story.

REAL EDITORIAL EXAMPLE

Driffle: start with a lost decision.

The Field Note opens with the problem of recovering a decision after a meeting. Its fictional Work Memory Lab lets readers inspect the evidence behind an answer.

Use the pattern: name a specific frustrating moment, demonstrate the workflow, and show what the records can and cannot establish.

REAL SPEC CONCEPT

Ramp: make the story explorable.

The GTM Playground turns a product story into an interactive creative concept rather than a list of promotional claims.

Use the pattern: give the audience a small task or decision that makes the product idea easier to understand.

WORKED FICTIONAL EXAMPLE

Loopback: test the workaround.

A fictional feedback tool for small SaaS product teams starts with scattered support and sales notes. Its first offer is a walkthrough, with a goal of finding three design partners.

First move: ask how the team triaged feedback last week. Show a synthetic-data walkthrough before claiming time savings.

The public work samples are independent editorial coverage or spec concepts. They do not establish a paid relationship or measured campaign results.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Know what you’re working with.

Is this free? Where does AI fit?

The workspace, templates, prompts, and exports are free. No API key or paid AI plan is required here. For an AI rewrite or deeper analysis, copy a contextual prompt into your preferred chat and bring the result back. Built-in text is template-assisted, not model-generated.

Where is my work saved?

Your brief, drafts, checklist, prospect research, and metrics save in this browser’s local storage on this device. They are not submitted to Stephen or the website database by this toolkit. Clearing site data or using a different browser removes access to that saved copy. Download a JSON backup to move or restore your workspace. If local saving is blocked, export before leaving.

Will it find customers or send messages for me?

It provides research queries, interview guides, a prospect log, and editable message templates. You research and verify the people, business contact routes, and fit. You review and send messages yourself. No lead database, enrichment service, or email integration is connected.

Can I use it for a service or creator business?

Yes. Use the local service or Useful in Practice example as a starting point, then replace its audience, offer, and evidence with your own. The narrow-audience and small-experiment approach also works for a digital product or SaaS prototype.

How do I get my work out?

Export the complete plan as Markdown, an individual draft as text, the prospect list as CSV, or the workspace as a JSON backup. Print creates a full text report of all seven stages, not just the open screen. Imported backups replace the workspace only after validation and confirmation.
